It is ATTITUDE, not APTITUDE which determines the ALTITUDELIFE is not a RIDDLE  to be solved,it is a MIRACLE to be celebrated & sung.

Dear Sri Sitharthan,

1)At the outset, our heartiest congratulations to you & ur able team for the wonderful idea mooted by u & ably implemented by the dedicated team, consisting of RM Mktg, RM CLIA, RM CC, SDM DO 1 & SDM DO 2 & loveable band of volunteers.It is a tribute to ur leadership & an eloquent testimony to the team effort of SZO ,which enabled such a Founders Day function as a useful get-together & celebration, memories green of yesteryears shared by many & a large assorted cream of old, older, oldest pensioners thronging the spacious Alamelumanga Kalyana Mandapam

2)The presentation by RM CLIA, RM Mktg brought us closer to reality & I used to say --Half the world does not know how the other half lives-.as lots of changes take place & it is desirable FOUNDERS get access to this face to face at some intervals.I mentioned this point on our productive meeting with all OS officials of ZO & DO 1 & DO 2 on 20/8/2013

3)I beam Pensioners Emails & Feedback Fortnigtly  processing so many email I get from all over India to our pensioners with email ids.This has touched 86, ie 43 mths ie 3 yrs, 7 mths

As many have shared their moments of joy & even earlier association with you, it is irresistible for me not to share with your goodself

Here it is.Please go thro,happy memories revived again at this distant date

iv)Respected Sir, I have no words to express my happiness on the very good gesture of Zonal Manager, Southern Zone, of calling all the Retired Officials for a meeting and giving them the useful inputs, apart from the very useful memento. INDEED SRI T.SITHARTHAN, ZM (incidentally who started his career in LIC from Belgaum - he was AAO in Belgaum Main Branch) DESERVES TO BE CONGRATULATED FOR THIS INITIATIVE. 

I can just imagine how the Retirees' must have felt to-day. Atleast there is one top ranking Officer in LIC, who has recognised the services rendered by the old guard - that too in the initial stages of LIC. Other Zones and Divisions should follow this  good gesture started by SZ.

I DID NOT HEAR ANYSUCH THING AT HYDERABAD  OR perhaps  I would not have been included as an invitee  even though I am 79 yrs

Of course, he richly deserves kudos.  Many many pensioners of all cadres from ZO,DO1 & DO 2,of all ages,thronged the spacious Kalyana Mandapam .A festive atmosphere, an aura of its own,many pensioners expressed their feelings & emotions looking back to their good days in LIC ,greetings & thanx,-------------R.B.KISHORE

1)U WLD HAVE ENJOYED THE 12 photos sent by me on same day 16/9 ,memorable day
2)Pensioners were pouring in in lots.It touched 450 & last minute ZOOS volunteers cld not make entries,because of my closeness with them wh I cultivate as a habit I come to know.Easily 450& more wld have been there in 2 long rows.All cadres were there but predominantly officers & some Cl 3 & 4 too.Entrance itself the memento bag containing 4 page useful write up by ZO Pension cell ,containing Dos & Donts for pensioners,leaflets on new plans ,Varistha Pension Bima Yojana  plan etc

3)Meeting started at 11.15AM.SDM DO 1 Sri Krishna Kumar welcomed the gathering & pointed out how ZM after receiving so many suggestions coined his own phraseology FOUNDERS DAY as it rightly belongs to those who FOUNDED the orgn for 35 --40 yrs ,built a stable foundation & erected a superstructure which stands like a rock today.On the dais ZM, RMMktg, RM CLIA, RMCC, SDM DO 2 Sri Kishore Kumar were there.Many distinguished luminaries like sri KPNarasimhan, MD Retd KSridhar ,lots of ED/ZM/SDM/DM Retd  & down the line too.Arrangements were nice.ZM & many enquired about my operation.ZMSectl phoned twice on 13 & 15 sep to Mrs Seetha Kishore & after I was somewhat ok to me & so I indeed wanted to honour his request.How can I forget that 2.5 hrs talks with ZM & all OS officials of ZO & DO 1 & DO 2 on 20/8/2013 which enabled us to come closer,resolve many issues, & get circulars, statements etc much faster as everywhere in other Divns OS regards as their property & dont share

4)RM CLIA with powerpoint presentation gave a broad  a/c of how retirees also can engage as a CLIA &EARN MONEY CANVASSING,giving leads & how many 60--65 age limit entrants are doing well & such pamphlets were in file .Brief 15 mts.Then RM Mktg for 20 mts on LIC achievements, Z O Rank 1 2013-14 & even now  as at 31/8/2014 in many indices.Remarkable leadership & captaincy of Sri T Sitharthan
5)Then they gave mike to those who from their own seats narrated their pleasure at the invitation, good old days, LIC experiences, Insce Institute teaching & learning, early years & decades difficult period ,all round skills of LIC employees etc. 14/15 spoke with fervour, assertiveness, humour.

6)Then ZM spoke brief how he wanted to promote this idea of Founder wh is the real truth, we are indebted to them.Instead of the word retiree or pensioner, this concept is striking,he said.He was
mentioning about  his birth  place,temples around etc.He profusely thanked all for turning up in such large numbers.He said in every meeting at all places he will ask one question to everybody--WHAT IS
UR CONTRIBUTION ?--very sensible one.He is nuts& bolts ZM.

7)Then he came down, KPN, KS & IRDA Member Retd he decorated with shawl & 1st 2 rows where we were seated angavasthram around our neck as an affectionate & reverential gesture.He didnt leave me, the anchor gave the mike & I spoke turning around the vast gathering stressing how ZM uses right brain wh is futuristic, aesthetic, artistic,intuitive & forward -looking as many Indians are content using left brain wh is mere adult, coherent, reasoning & logical.It was a landmark day, a milestone in ZO s progress in promoting Founders contribbution & respecting them wh has brought us closer.I wanted this grand idea to percolate to all in ZO/DO/ & to everyone in CO so that they can absorb, assimilate & internalise this & do their duty of bein empathetic.Then Sri GNSridharan spoke but he was keeping  the mike away & not so audible

8)Then lots of hugging, embracing,pleasantries, some seeing one another after years,a beloved, family spectacle as it were.touching.All went for lunch & food was specially home made& not from hotel as ZM announced with no chillies, oil etc to suit elders.Fine ending,thanx to ZM & all volunteers who bore the brunt & made the function a gala success & a DAY TO REMEMBER indeed .

ix)Dear RBK, It is indeed  heart-warming to read the mail, narrating the Founder's Day at Chennai, formulated by Mr. Sitharthan, thenSr BM of Mayiladuthurai in 1993-95, when I saw him as a very dynamic person - a go-getter, and willing worker. I had the pleasure of being with him as
Manager Sales - Thanjavur Division from where I retired in 1995.I do not know whether this sort of recognition will percolate down to the Divisional Level, so that we can also enjoy the good old days of
LIC being Born - Our glueing to the Radio, to listen to Hon. FM Sri Deshmuk telling us that Panditji has nationalised life insurance and the few months of absorbing the erstwhileinsurers' employees and categorisation etc etc. I remember Mr.G.S.Kalayanadurandram, Mr. P Subbiah, Mr. K.R.K.Bhatt, Mr. R
Samanna, Mr. U.V.Ramasamy, Mr. A S A Mani, Mr. M.Visweswaryiah, and a host of others like Mr.P.D.Ramasamy Iyengar, Mr. CH,Mhadevan Mr. Vijayaraghavan, Mr.K.Balasubramanyam then ZM with his triple 5 (555 cigarette box) who were with us in Madurai Division.Well those were the days!!!!
