"It is very first time that the employees-in-service are getting 15% rise in their salary slip components. In earlier Bipartite Settlements it was never more than 11.5 %. It took more than 29 months to conclude this BP Settlement. However, it is astonishing that UFBU is agreeing with IBA that now there is no money with the Banks for improvement of pensionary benefits and the negotiating parties have no time to discuss retirees' issues. The present retired employees had founded and built the Banks bricks by bricks and served the Banks with their sweat and blood. They were doing hard manual work in the branches. The employees of to-day are fortunate to work in modern technological environment and air conditioned branches. Many of the present retirees were pillars of the employees' and officers' organizations. Therefore, ignoring their very genuine and legitimate demands by UFBU & IBA is very miserable. Anyhow, still we should continue our faith in UFBU leadership and should continue to pursue them for our issues till 10th BP Settlement is actually signed. " - An Office Bearer of our Association.
Yours sincerely,
B.G.Raithatha,
General Secretary
