R U worried you are not taken care of?

Most of us among Pensioners are sentimental people. While some may gloat over their glorious days while in sevice, there are many ,as I know , who feel neglected by the institution they had served so long . For such people here is some news to cheer and have a hope kindled  in them in yet  another area of their retired life.

A few days back I was pleasenly surprised to receive a message from one of my long time friends who had retired from' Bharat Petroleum' a Maharatna public sector corporation. He had painstakingly compiled his meomoirs on his service days a copy of which he was gracious enough to send me. I quote below one para of what he had conveyed in his covering letter.
" It may be of interest to you that I joined the elite club of
NONAGENARIANS on 13/11/2020. In recognition of my service BPCL honoured me with a felicitation Award of
RS 70,000/- for having attained the age milestone of 90 yrs. What a fine gesture!! It is BPCL. In India's life and part of it "--(sd) S Rajagopalan
I further learn from my friend that BPCL introduced an official scheme in this behalf - Vide their circular dated
14/3/2019 an extract of which is  being forwarded to the editor. The point that now arises is :

LIC goes to win the hearts of their existing and future   policyholders through the catchy Slogan of -'zindagi mein bhi aur Zindagi ke baad bhi' .Will the organisations of serving and Retired employees of LIC stimulate the LIC management to formulate a motto for gaining  the confidence of their employees by coining another slogan to read " Seva mein bhi aur Sevanivrut mein bhi".I can hear someone whispering ' it is not possible'!!

Best wishes to all - GN Sridharan
