THE KHC VERDICT
Sri CHM Sir is right when he says that LIC would not on its own come forward to extend the KHC verdict benefits to post 3/93 retirees. Such is their past record.
Just writing letters to LIC would not bring any result. Intense lobbying is needed.
The fittest person for that job is none other than Mr.Anand Thyagi Ji.
He has been doing a great job for LIC pensioners for which all of us are deeply indebted to him.
Therefore I appeal to him on behalf of these hapless pensioners to intervene in this matter. I am sure his lobbying with CO officials will definitely bring the desired results.
The affected pensioners will all be around 88 now. So it is futile to expect them to take the issue to court. It is neither worth the trouble.
So I once again appeal to Sri Thyagi to plunge into the battle at once.

The M C Jain case judgment & Kerala HC judgments cover only those who retired between 1/8/1992 & 31/3/1993 and not those who retired after 1/4/1993.

LIC on its own will not review cases of post March 1993 retirees. The aggrieved retirees will have to approach the courts.
The Joint Forum has written a letter to LIC Chairperson on this issue , but I am not sure of a positive outcome, because for even the pre- April 1993 retirees, LIC is considering paying the revised pension for similarly placed retirees only after Kerala HC judgment.

Not necessary to login to efiling site to search for 26AS/ AIS.
Income tax department has released an android app by name 'AIS' available in play store and Apple Store. It is very handy and useful.
It shows pension credit, SB int, FD int, dividend from shares/mutual funds,TDS etc.
If you have already registered your mobile number and e mail id with the IT department you will receive 2 separate OTP for verification purposes.
This may facilitate people filing their Income Tax returns
Steps to be followed
1. Go to Play store/ App Store
2. Search for. ais it will appear with IT embalms
3. Down load it.
4. Enter your PAN No
5. TWO OTPS will come one via SMS other via your registered email.
6. Both you have to feed.
7. You have set MPIN like ATM PIN.
8. After setting and entering MPIN, you can view AIS details.

Do you know why the IRCTC doesn't allow you to choose a seat? WOULD YOU BELIEVE THE TECHNICAL REASON BEHIND THIS IS PHYSICS.
Booking a seat on a train is much different than booking a seat in a theatre.
Theatre is a hall, while the train is a moving object. This is why safety concerns are high on trains.
Indian railway ticket booking software is designed in a way that it will book tickets in a way to distribute load evenly in train.
I take an example to make things more clear: Imagine that S1, S2 S3... S10 number train has sleeper class coaches and each coach has 72 seats.

So when anyone books tickets for the first time, the software will allocate a seat in the middle coach such as S5, middle seat numbers between 30-40, and preferably lower berth (railway fills the lower berth compared to the first upper one to get less gravity centre) Could be done )
And the software books seats in such a way that all coaches have the same passenger delivery and seats start from middle seats (36) to seats near the gate i.e. 1-2 or 71-72 to the bottom berth to upper.
Railways just wants to ensure a proper balance that every coach should have for equal load distribution.
This is why when you last book your tickets, you always get an upper berth and a seat allocated around 2-3 or 70, except when you're not taking a seat for someone who has cancelled their seat.
What if the railway randomly booked tickets? The train is a moving object that runs at a speed of about 100 km/h on the rail.
So a lot of force and mechanical work on the train.
Just imagine if S1, S2, S3 are fully loaded and S5, S6 are completely empty and others are partially loaded. When the train takes a turn, some cans face maximum centrifugal force and some minimum, and more likely to derail the train.
This is a very technical aspect, and when brakes are applied, different braking forces operate in each coach due to the huge gap in the weight of the coach, so train stability becomes an issue again.
I thought this was a good information worth sharing, as passengers often blame railways for citing them the inconvenient seats/berths.
