1)I was trying CO to talk to EDP for last several days.Usual telephone tape, all lines busy etc.As all have taken charge very recently, it was my desire 1st to contact the topmost authority of the Dept & sooner get acquainted with other important limbs of authority,like Chief & Secretary.I was glad PA was able to connect me to EDP,Sri Niraj Aggarwal.I introduced myself,he said he knows me, added he has worked with my brother Sri RVRamesh,settled at Delhi.That was good going indeed
2)I stressed the full & abundant cooperation extended to us last few years from earlier dispensation in Personnel dept from all.I wished same & even quicker attention & focus & more empathy is shown towards all pensioners as we are aged,old & many even infirm & especially the weaker position of Family Pensioners.Though some mechanism is there ,only for sending CO circulars immediately, yet problems, issues & grievances at various levels are given due attention they deserve, that will go a longway to redress oue problems.
3)i)I told him ,that for Refund of excess mediclaim premium deducted before 31/3/2015. For FY 2015-16 for FFPolicy, only Programme for Employees was received at ZO to enable all to refund alongwith Salary payable on 1st June 2015,
However, still Programme for pensioners is not received & little time is there for ZO/DO OS to rise to the occasion to refund to PENSIONERS too same manner alongwith pension to be credited on Monday 1st June.He understood the position
ii)I also thanked him for the efforts to put Cashless services for employees & pensioners on sound footing ,but cautioned TPA work of updation of data sent by ALL LIC offices keying etc is taking a very long time.ECard of TPA contains only Name & SR No & so all the more it is absolutely essential that Optional SA is included from info given, which will enable TPA to tell Hospital where the patient –employee or pensioner is rushed to--& that golden hour is a MUST to be everalert so that TPA gives nod & green signal to Hospital, whereby he is admitted, hassles disappear, money problem solved, a great boon of cashless facility .I requested him to ensure this is adhered to, TPA Meetings arranged, empathy wave is created, cashless becomes a reality
iii)I added as this FFP is a new scheme & now cashless is becoming operational, it is better to offer onetime option ,as some unfortunate pensioners for valid reasons are out of the mediclaim scheme itself.
iv)I stressed this was the reason why we have been insisting on deductions of premium from pension, as for employees it is done in full 12 instalments & so I said he must take initiative & ensure sooner, if not 12,atleast 4 instalment deductions are done & risk is intact for OSA chosen & continues
v)Last I said I am sorry tosay only All India RP,FP, EX gratia retirees ZOwise DOwise is given to us by Sy ER last year as at 31/8/2013, that too without CZ figures & it behoves CO to demand & ensure pucca data on time & it is unfortunate such issues are not figuring in Seminars wherein such data have to e circulated I am again sending email to him
He assured full cooperation & understanding will be there & we can look forward to exchange ofideas for any improvement in functioning to make pensioners/employees happy & redress problems to full satisfaction
vi)I told him, as an avid reader of Yogakshema, LIC HM, I enjoyed his Editorial in his earlier stint,that I believed—Half the world does not know how the other half lives--& so outstanding issues must get his attention
