Dear Editor,
As already informed to all concerned through your
blog, around 30 Pensioners of Tri City assembled today i.e.21.05.2015 at
our proposed venue Seniors Citizens Council, Sector 15, Panchkula to
interact with Sh. Sreenivasa Murty at 3.00 pm.
We were sure that we will be free from High Court
Proceedings before noon but our assessment went wrong and we could be
free around 4.00 pm. So rushed to Meeting Venue to be there around 4.25
pm.
Our Secretary Sh. S.N.Chhabra welcomed Sh. Murty and
requested Sh. Brij Jit Singh ex chief Legal LIC and now Petitioner no 1
in our case to welcome Sh. Murty by presenting him a bouquet of flowers.
Next I was told by our secretary to introduce Sh.
Murty to all L.I.C. Pensioners present in meeting and as such I
highlighted briefly very significant contribution and efforts of Sh.
Murty as our case Manager.
Next,
it was turn of Sh. Murty to address. He briefly explained impact of
latest Supreme Court Order dated 07.05.2015 and told the audience that
L.I.C has no choice except to pay 20% of amount due to all Pensioners as
per High Court Judgements of three high courts and in case L.I.C fails
to do so within six weeks then L.I.C may be in serious troubles and will
have to face contempt of Supreme Court .
A few queries of our Pensioners in meeting were also answered by Sh. Murty to their satisfaction.
Sh.R.C. Malhotra retired as Sr. D M Incharge at Chandigarh
Divisional Office and now residing in sector 8 Chandigarh being of 85
plus age presented a small memento to Sh. Murty as a token of our love
and affection for him.
The Meeting concluded with a vote of Thanks for Sh.
Murty as well as all members present in today"s meeting by Sh. R.C.Sodhi
