Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed breathed his last at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi this morning. He was 79.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) veteran was admitted to the hospital on December 24 with complaints of fever and neck pain after he conducted an exhaustive tour of Srinagar.
The doctors at the AIIMS had put him on ventilator support after his condition deteriorated. Earlier, he was being given oxygen therapy.
