I have posted your bulletin on my blog.
How did you get my e-mail Id?
I find that you have written to ED(P) on 3.03.2016 regarding enhancement of basic limit of Compulsory Sum Insured from Rs 3L,4L & 6L to 6L, 8L & 12 L RESPECTIVELY for the employees/ retired employees , one more option for all & & increase in the level of income of dependents from the present level of Rs 3500/- pm to Rs 15000/-pm.
, LICof India. for similar request for enhancement of BASIC Sum Insured to 6L,8L & 12L in view of the steep increase of over 43% in the mediclaim insurance premium for the current year.
When you wrote the above said letter, the premium rates for the current year were not yet known. I congratulate you for your foresight.
Now when the ever so high premium rates are known,it is all the more necessary for all the Unions of the officers, Employees and Retired employees to vigorously follow up the matter with the top management of the LIC to double the existing limits to tide over financial difficulties the poor senior retirees might face.
