e Circular dated 4th June 2016

Dear All LIC Pensioners,
Amended WP filed in Delhi High Court
We are happy to inform all members that our amended WP was filed yesterday (3/6) in the Delhi High Court. We were particular to lodge our papers before the court closes for vacation from today, and we are thankful to our counsel at Delhi Shri. RK Garg for taking necessary action promptly.

The preparation of the petition called for considerable efforts on our part and every member of our Legal committee comprising of myself and M/s R Rajagopalan, VK Jain, Basudeb Das & M Arunachalam deserve our compliments.

Irrespective of the prayers that are in the petitions already filed or expected to be filed by organizations other than those involved in the matters remanded to Delhi HC by the Supreme Court, and with our having almost succeeded in having the anomaly in DR removed affecting the pre 1997 category of pensioners, our aim is to secure the benefits for all pensioners.

Further there is a crying need for putting in place a permanent system for automatic upgradation of pension in sync with every periodical wage revision. Even in our original WP, we had made hints of the anomalies in the pension structure. We assure that keeping these objectives in mind, we have made the petition very comprehensive.

We appeal to all pensioners to relax till 12th July and not allow their peace to be disturbed in the midst of what is happening elsewhere.

With Greetings to all,
GN Sridharan
Gen. Secy.
Fedn. of Retd LIC Class I Officers' Assns.
