DELHI HC Proceedings delay, grievous hurt to pensioners

Respected Kishore,
This is surely very very disappointing. When the case is very simple why the HC should take so much time to give its verdict. After all, your pensioners had not asked for the moon but implement the earlier Rajasthan court decision. The same is the problem with us also. When I write to PM in his website about our long pending issue of non- revision of our pensions over 20 years, the case is again forwarded to DFS against which we are complaining for sitting tight on the issue both for RBI and NABARD and remarks case is closed. The objective of writing to PM is to appeal against the department which is not deciding the issue or giving approval . What we have asked is application of the same principles for revision as were applied for the GOI and Railway pensioners .

Having sanctioned a pension scheme with identical terms and conditions as were then in GOI scheme the refusal to extend further reliefs on the same lines as were extended to the GOI pensioners is arrogance of power and denial of justice to us. Even Governor Dr Rajan could not get the approval for the revision though it was agreed two years back before the new government under Modi took over. There was also an assurance that change in the government after the general elections would not affect the decision and after all the decision was to revise the pensions of RBI pensioners on the same lines as was done by GOI and it was to be done with reference to new pay scales to be effective from 1-11-2012
In the meantime, as you know the GOI has immediately acted on the third revision of pensions and family pensions of all GOI pensioners who retired prior to 1-1-2016 and passed order for paying the interim relief by way of multiplying their existing basic pension as revised after 6th CPC by 2.57 times. GOI has also accepted the complete parity formula recommended by the 7th CPC and has constituted a committee to examine its feasibility. Considering the clout the GOI pensioners have complete parity will also be implemented within a period of six months.m
As you know there is a proverb in Tamil " EZHAI SOLL AMBALAM ERAATHU". We are reduced to the level of beggars.
With warm personal regards,
Kasiviswanathan,
NABARD
