Retirees of 92-93

Dear Shri Sridharan

I am obliged to have your views on the subject.

Perhaps you know we were only 2 petitioners of this category in gratuity case in Chandigarh High Court. Even after SC judgment in 2008 LIC paid balance gratuity to post 4 /93 retd officers and denied to our category of about 150.

Our petition was pending  we pursued it and got  favourable judgment in July 2008. LIC waited for complete 90 days and then honoured  it for all in Oct  2008.

I know that yourself have been pursuing it forcefully Shri S K  Kapahi did inform me of positive response.

My friends in this area who are   associated with  AIIPA and AIRIEF were satisfied when I told them that you have finalised for court action &  they were happy.

I have not decided what I can do at present. Only recently I learnt DR and updation anomaly case
in the banks was presented by retd  Zonal Manager, Bank of Baroda to Chief Justice by a letter and it stands admitted as a Grievance/petition. I thought why we should not make a prayer in that fashion or if I can get financial support from many we think of going to court.
Sh  R K Jjindal your member has got a list of 105 such persons but no data.

I also thought that retirees of   4/ 93 to 12 /93 are also losing to some extent more than  retirees upto   8 /93 therefore I thought  of collecting their data also.
I have no tangible plan as yet. I seek you advice.

Regard
S R Arora
