Dear Mr Sahni,
The conference as scheduled, took
place for over an hour. Mr Ashish Tiwari, joined us. We went through
minutely, our Rejoinder to LIC's additional Affidavit. Mr Gupta is comfortable
with the total material made available to him and is confident of countering
all untenable claims of LIC to deny revision of our Pension.
We are meeting again tomorrow
morning, may be in Supreme Court, well before the hearing in DHC. Mr
Gupta quickly glanced the additional information Sri Mahadevan and I procured
and compiled only yesterday (as required by Mr NG himself). He deferred a
decision to tomorrow, on using it or not using it, as it is 'explosive' on the
face of it. He would probably acquaint himself with it thoroughly but go
by the mood of the Bench on using it or not. Seasoned and shrewd Lawyer, as he
is, we are in good hands. I wouldn't press for anything, once I am convinced he
clearly understood what I am talking of.
There
were a few well-meaning appeals from respected and respectable Pensioners to
stop quarreling and focus on the case. I want them to rest assured that I will
never fail them as far as my efforts are concerned.
As the going seems to be good, let
us hope we will have the last laugh.
GOD BLESS LIC PENSIONERS
