Dear Sir,
Thanks
for your News of 9 SLABS DA rise for Pensioners with effect from
August 2017 Pension, and 22 Slabs for Serving LIC employees. Why such a
Gap? When their DA is released on Qly basis and ours' once in half year;
I presume, perhaps our D.A. Slab should have been more. Is there any
fundamental lapses some where?
Thanks and regards

Dear Shri Parida,
Please
note that 13 DA slabs were reduced wef 01.05.2017 in respect of In
service employees.Their DA was released at average CPI of 6264. Now
AICPI IS 6352-6264=88 divided by 4 is equal to 22 DA slabs.
That is why there is a difference of 13 slabs.
As on 01.08.2017 the average AICPI for the quarter ending 30.06.2017 is same both for employees and Pensioners ie 6352.
In case of Pensioners the DR wef 01.02.2017 was released at CPI 6316.
Hence 6352-6316=36 divided by 4 is equal to 9 DR slabs wef 01.08.2017 to 31.01.2018 for LIC pensioners.
Hope now it is clear.
With regards,
R K Sahni
