Heavenly Murmurs

Respected & dear colleagues,

Usual Namaskar to each and every member !  I wish to share with you my inner feelings about our prolonged legal battle since last two decades and the anguish and aspirations of our retired colleagues.
Three elder colleagues of us at Madurai Unit used to call me now
and then and inquired about the status of our cases right from the
judgement at Jaipur Branch of Rajasthan HC. I used to console them that the matter would come to end shortly in our favour, since our demands are based on valid legal grounds. I believed  -  still believe- that a favorable solution would certainly emerge shortly to redress our long-felt discrimination in pension structure and DR formula. I never thought that this battle could drag on to this level. In the meantime, our three senior colleagues unfortunately passed away one by one due to an operation, fire-accident and sudden advancement of some
unidentified ailment respectively. Even today I realize that their
phone-voices are daunting me like anything. I am surprised to hear
from the spouse of a particular colleague that her deceased husband periodically started inquiring about the ongoing trials in her dream and his soul got upset with the current never-ending ordeal. Do we तो believe this or not ?
Whether we believe in the existence of souls are not, we could very well feel and understand their plight, anguish and anxiety over this unethical drawback in the legal system and their disappointment in leaving their families with last-hour plans unfulfilled.
How could we forget the yeoman service rendered by our master-leaders who fought on our behalf both organizationally and legally during their life-time ? Some of them have left us due to untimely death. The services of M.Sreenivasa Murty will ever remain in our hearts. He has certainly left a vacuum in the history of our struggle. One can imagine with what amount of feeling could he had had
at his unfinished vow even at the last hour in his death-bed.
Instances may be many throughout India. If we sit at a place
contemplating upon these events, we could undoubtedly hear the abusive and furious murmurs from heaven.
Days are not far off. The bureaucracy would understand the
sacrifices made by the elders in building up this Organization to the
present level and try to amend their approach and come forward to
settle our issues amicably.
With regards and Diwali Greetings !
Ever Yours,
M.P.Subrahmanian.
