Pension Payment

I request ARIEF General Secretary, and also all other Associations of pensioners,  to please address a letter to Chairman, LIC asking to pay pension also on the dates salary is paid to in service employees.    As a matter of fact there is no difference in salary or pension, both become due on Ist of the following month. But for administrative and accounting convenience  LIC decided to pay salary one day before the last working day and in case that day happens to be Saturday or a holiday, salary payment is advanced to another one day. It will not only solve the problem of delay in payment of Pension on one reason or another, but give relief and satisfaction to the elders of LIC. There seems no serious or technical hitches, and even if some minor issues may be there, Chairman LIC has all the powers to decide looking to the benefits and administrative & accounting conveniences in payment of pension also as it also salary (deferred wages).
