PETITION UPDATE
THE POWER OF A PETITION
31 OCT 2017 — When I had launched the petition 4 months ago, little did I know that these small steps would lead to such big milestones for the work I am doing on Child Sexual Abuse.
October has been a rewarding month. It started with a meeting with the NCPCR (National Commission of Protection for Children's Rights), in Delhi, where we discussed the petition, and also next steps on how to move forward on the issue of Male Child Sexual Abuse.
A sample survey was suggested through 'The Hands of Hope Foundation'.
The survey is to gather enough evidence on the prevalence of male child sexual abuse, its aftermath on young boys/adult men, and subsequent impact on society.
You all have been an integral part of this journey, and made the impossible happen in such a short time, just by signing this petition.
The NCPCR along with P.O.C.S.O (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) is now holding a conference on the 20th of November, 2017 , where they will be discussing the following topics, based on my inputs-
A. Preventive Strategy of Child Sexual Abuse
B. Child Art as an analytical tool for interpretation of Child Sexual Abuse; and
C. Discussion on Male Child Sexual Abuse.
I now humbly request all Men of Indian Origin, who have signed this petition, to please fill out the attached online survey link and help me bring a resolution to this growing epidemic in India.
Women who have signed this petition, I urge you to share this with the men in your life, and make them fill out this form.
There is strength in numbers. It is imperative that your inputs reach me before the 20th of November, so that I can take your surveys and present evidence of the same to these respective government bodies.
We are getting very close to make something big happen so that we can secure the future of this country and our children.
LET'S END CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE, TOGETHER
