TRADE UNIONS OR TRADERS' UNIONS?

"മക്കുണത്തോടു മൂളുന്നൂ /  കൊതു : 'നീയൊരു ചൂഷകൻ. / തൊഴിലാളി മനുഷ്യന്റെ / ചോര കട്ടുകുടിക്കുവോൻ'

The mosquito buzzes to the bedbug : "You are an exploiter. You drink stealthily the blood of human labourer"

" 'സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിടും ഞാനെൻ / തൊഴിലാളി സഖാക്കളെ / ഇൻക്വിലാബ് സിന്ദാബാദ് റഷ്യ / ജയിക്കട്ടെയുഷാർ സഖേ' "

I'll organize my labourer comrades. Inquilab, sindabad! Victory to Russia. (This was written in the early 1940s when there was only CPI)

The trade unionist went ahead and organized his 'labourer comrades' and brought the bourgeois to his knees, nay, to his death. 

Now the labourer thought that he'd be able to sleep peacefully hereafter because the bedbug, the capilatlist, the bourgeois, who has been feasting on his blood was eliminated! And he spread his humble sheet and laid himself down for what he thought would be a peaceful sleep. 

"ഉടൻ കാതിൻ സമീപത്തു / സൂചിയൊന്നു തറച്ചപോൽ / ഒരു വേദനയുണ്ടായി / തൊഴിലാളിക്കു ദുസ്സഹം"

Suddenly the labourer felt an unbearable pain near his ear like the piercing by a needle.

"എന്നേ മാരണമിജ്ജീവി / ചത്താലും ചാകയില്ലയോ / മൂട്ടതൻ പ്രെതമിന്നെന്നെ / ദ്രോഹിപ്പാൻ വന്നുകൂടിയോ? 

Goddamnit! Will this creature not die even if dead? Has the ghost of the bedbug come to haunt me now?

ഇത്യാദിയോർത്തപ്പാവത്താൻ / ചെവിലാക്കാക്കിയക്ഷണം / ആഞ്ഞൊന്നടിച്ചതിൽപ്പിന്നെ / വിരി സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കിനാൻ 

Thinking on these lines he let go a resounding slap aimed at his ear and then looked closely at his sheet.

അയ്യയ്യോ കാണ്മതിങ്ങെന്തു / സഖാവാം കൊതുവല്ലയോ / നിത്യനിർവാണമാർന്നത്ര / കിടപ്പൂ കരുണാനിധി! 

OhmeGoad! What do I see here? Isn't it Comrade Mosquito who lies flat having attained Nirvanam! (moksham)
