1)Summary of case laws cited in C A No 5525 of 2012 (2) Bima Vidya Feb 18 issue

DEAR ALL,
I attach a tabulated summary of the various case laws cited in the SC judgment in C A No  5525 of 2012  giving relief to the pre-November 2002 retirees  who were denied the retrospective benefits due to them on the bipartite settlement on 2005.
I have also given my comments(in my opinion) in the remarks column.
The essence of the case laws is that Pension is a matter of right and not a bounty, it is akin to property and no vested  right  can be taken away with retrospective effect.
I would welcome feedback  on the points brought out in the Table with special reference to application to our SLPs in SC.
I am also attaching a copy of the February  18 issue of BIMA VIDYA, the house  (e-)magazine of MDC in which my article on LIC's financials  has been published, for your kind information.
Greetings.
