At present, tehre two Retiree Confederations. 1. U N I T E D F O R U M O F B A N K R E T I R E E S ' O R G A N I S A T I O N S (UFBRO). Its present strength and position and activities not known. 2. CBPRO Confederation of Bank Pensioners and Retirees Confederation comprising AIBPRC & SBIPA, claiming 4 lakhs membership. Always in news with multifarious representations and actitivities.
On enquiry with 1616-1684 parties/Retirees/Retiree Organistions, the Case Cost from scratch to Supreme Court level for all 12-14 years for each group between rs.9 to rs.12 lakhs. And, they incurred prudently.
EVEN TAKING INTO COST ESCALATION AND future estimates, even rs.40 lakhs rupees is very high for tackling the Court Case if same prudency adopted and the 1616-1684 case lawyers of Retirees side who now have proven record are engaged for effective arguments to win the case.
As per CBPRO claim of 4 lakhs membership, a 10rs. per member will fetch rs.40,00,000 rupees and it can manage by levying it to affiliates. Even if UFBRO takes up, it wont not much than rs.20/- per member as its one affiliate AIBRF has 1.5 lakh membership.
Reg. Family Pension for which all retirees sympathetic and as some super seniors say, even if they got or not updation, Family Pension must immediately be raised on RBI lines for alleviating their hardship in society and in Family. And, according to Supreme Court Rules, Women who met with injustice and dispartity can file in Supreme Court direct with out routing through High Court/s.
