What is Nipah virus and why this virus is spreading

Till now Nipah virus killed 10 people in Kerala, in which 3 people are from same family and this family is first which influenced by this virus.The family get infected by virus because of drinking water from well ,a dead bat was lying inside the well. Kerala health ministry issued high alert after observing the situation.

Before understanding about this virus firstly we understood about Zoonosis it came from greek word ζῷον zoon basically Zoonosis means a diseases which can be transmitted in human from animals.

Nipah is a zoonoatic disease which can be transmitted in human from animals and birds. World health organisation says that Nipah is emerging virus. The natural host of Nipah virus is fruit bats (bats which sucks fruit juice). Natural host means a virus ,parasite or bacteria living in the body of animals and birds from past generations without harming them.

NIV which is Nipah which was found in 1998 in Malaysia, at that time pig was an intermediate host of this virus .Intermediate host means'' a host which is suffering between two host'', for parasite intermediate host is like OLA and Uber from which this virus suffer from one host to another host. In 1998 this virus spreaded from pigs.The virus firstly spread in pigs and when humans eat these pigs ,so the virus came in humans. In 2004 the virus spread in Bangladesh when people eat 'dates' which was already eaten by bats.

In India this virus spread from human to human,In Kerala a nurse was infected by this virus when she was giving treatment to a person who are already infected by this virus ,but the nurse could not be saved.

In 2001 and 2007 people got into the grip of this virus both time this was happen in West Bengal.First time it was found in Siliguri (west Bengal) in which 66 people got infected from which only 21 people able to saved.In 2007 5 people got infected by this virus in Nadia district but none of them could be saved.

The most problematic things is that this virus does not have any treatment or vaccine for this virus. For first aid doctors keep people in I.C.U. or by continuing observing them.
