I just got a message from Lucknow informing that Shri Salunkhe expired yesterday (16/6) which I am sure will make every one of us very sad. Shri Salunkhe was indeed a simple person with a pleasent temperament.we as pensioners owe a lot to him as it was only during his tenure as chairman that our DR anamoly was brought to the attention of the govt.by a board resolution .
I have personally enjoyed interacting with him on several occasions on the problems of officers. Though it is now more than two decades I recall the hospitality extended to me by him when he was in Malaysia and I had gone there as a tourist.
Let us all pray for his soul to rest in peace.- GN Sridharan
