: " ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL " / General Appeal

Dear and Respected Members of the Executives of all respective

Federations & Associations representing LIC Pensioner-fraternities,

Namaskar.

  Every day we come across appeals from a number of members, irrespective of their being attached to different organizations, voicing for unanimity in our approach towards our last and final legal battle which is to commence from 11th October in the apex court.  They strongly believe that the Supreme Court could not deliver the needed

verdict in the absence of forceful legal authentications. They also

opine that we failed miserably due to our diversified approaches. They

are very much upset and disappointed at this prolonged legal battle for over two decades. To some extent we have to admit this mistake. I do not wish to blame any particular organization for this unwanted development. Every organization wants to survive winning the confidence of gross-roots.

  We have sufficiently learnt from LIC / GOI as to what extent we

could be humiliated because of our dis-unity and multifarious voices

over our demands. In the midst of confusion, we could not thrust our

main demand of '  Updation of Pension '. Knowing well that this demand only will set all other factors, such as DRs, Effective Dates, etc., we paid more attention on the implementation of DHC's erroneous judgment. Instead of taking the bull at its horns, we caught the useless tail under some wrong principles. The management has played well against the interest of their own erst-while employees.

  Let us forget the past . Now the time is ripe. All the organizations should rise up to the occasion and fight for our MAIN DEMAND OF REVISION / UPDATION OF PENSION with effect from the eligible date with merger of DR up to the percentage as allowed to the working employees at every stage.

  You are all aware that AIRIEF is totally opposed and against the

irrational judgment of DHC and it was well prepared to argue in favour of updation of pension during the last hearing. But, we missed the opportunity as the court was to sit till 1 PM only.

  From reliable sources it is understood that the Sr.Advocate Sri. K T S Tulsi is thoroughly equipped with legal inputs and it is strongly believed that he could use his rich experience and put forth the reasonableness of revision of pension based on legal grounds. We are hopeful of winning the case through his established professional skill. You are also aware that AIRIEF has engaged him without minding the heavy cost involved.

  If any organization wants to supplement the arguments of Sri.

Tulsi, it is most welcome. But, let there not be any dissenting views

weakening the main arguments. This way, all organizations may show our UNITY in emphasizing our arguments in ONE BIG VOICE the urgency of REVISION OF PENSION in par with CCS PENSION RULES and allied legal backgrounds. Let us stand as ' One for all & All for one '.

  I extend this appeal to all the stake-holders with folded hands

that we should not miss this last opportunity and none could be

misunderstood for this last hour strategy to defeat the evil designs of our opponents.

  I appeal to the leaders in the middle-order of the organizations to persuade the leaders in the higher-order to consider my appeal in the welfare of all the cadres of pensioners.

  LET US REWRITE OUR COMBINED STRATEGY TO EMERGE WITH GLORIOUS VICTORY.
