=================================
Dear Sirs,
We have been served with the Affidavit of Compliance filed on behalf of Life Insurance Corporation, scanned copy of the same is attached herewith. In para 9 and 11, the Corporation has stated that they have paid the amount of arrears of Dearness Relief to 3630 pensioners amounting to Rs.23,08,22,942/- together with interest as directed by the High Court in paras 107 and 109 of the High Court judgment and minimum pension to 56 pensioners amounting to Rs.7,76,174/-.
We are given to understand that there is a shortfall in the amount disbursed to retirees in our Petition on account of date of arrears been calculated from 2007 instead 1998 and rate of DR is taken at 0.23% instead of 0.29% of the basic pension in excess of Rs.2130/- utpto 3850/-.
To substantiate our contention, kindly provide the calculation of payment made by LIC to each of the retirees and the shortfall amount payable to them.
Regards
Jay Savla
