Basic pay was denied upto 31 3 93 for retired officers on wage revision in july 96 effective date was 1 8 92 but for officers increase was not paid for 8 monthsfurther gratuity was denied to retired officers upto 31 7 94.
however house rent was paid from 1 8 92 about 300 retired officers of 1 4 93 onwards got gratuity with interest on orders of supreme court in march 2008 myself and sk arora from jalandhar retirees of 11 92 and 12/92 had petition pending in punjab high court with the support of sh m l gandhi retiree of 1994.
we were lucky to ger it in our favour in july 2008 more than 100 officers were similar to us
lic wanted to appeal in sc but finally agreed to pay all similar officers in oct 2008 including sh mc jain retiree of jan 93 on the basis of having been paid revised pay from 8 92.
he filed petition in jaipur high court for revision of pension jaipur court granted the same and lic filed SLP in sc
SLP was rejected in jul 2014 lic finally made payment to sh jain onlyi n feb 15 and is reluctant to pay about 104 similar retd officers a good no of those have left this world
leader of all the associtions did make efforts to press lic to agree in2016 and 2017
