Whole mankind is shocked by the heart breaking tragedy in which 50-200( estimated as per eye witnesses) precious lives were over run by two trains on railway track near Amritsar within minutes after the RAVANA EFFIGY was set on fire - a symbolic ritual of VICTORY OF GOOD OVER EVIL. But actually evil is prevailing today as this tragedy is a result of failure of human vision.
While the Governments have come out to help the crushed ones and their families, there will be enquiries, investigations and probes by concerned authorities, but the common man is baffled as how this big function was allowed to take place by the side of a railway track passing through a thickly populated area, and how the rail drivers could not see the fire and slow down. It's more astonishing that two trains ( one after the other ) were running at full speed cutting innocent people who had come to celebrate Dushehra with their families. As an 82 years senior I like crores, am shocked and can simply express my heartfelt condolences and sympathies for the bereaved families, and pray God such drastic accidents do not recurr. The guilty must face justice at the earliest.
