HAPPY TRAINERS DAY, 24 th AUGUST
1)A Teacher, a Trainer keeps alive the spirit of man, to arouse, to awaken, to kindle,
to question, to answer, to energise, to elevate, to enlighten, to calm, to quieten,
to broaden,to entertain,to enliven, to update,to arouse curiosity,
to enhance self-confidence , to motivate, to communicate,to enhance public relations,&
above all
to plant love, affection, kindness,togetherness, camaraderie ,friendship among all human beings &
banish ignorance,lethargy,illwill, malice & thereby adopt & pursue a holistic approach to spark synergy in the team. Primarily,he has a responsibility,
especially in inducing to promote a sense of identity with the institution, a sense of oneness amongst all employees of the organisation, a reverence for patriotism for the Motherland,
Above all he has onerous task of creating a 'thinking' individual, a 'creative' personality, an 'efficient ' & an ' effective ' persona, charged with fire in the belly to manage 'change' & to promote ' progress' & 'dynamism' in the institution.
Quality Trainer has to be a 'Bhagawan Krishna to create many 'Arjunas' of impeccable artistry & archery in 'leadership & management' to reach & revel in 'Excellence" & 'Meritocracy"
2) i)I remember with nostalgia my stint as so-called Professor,Faculty Member at MDC,Borivili,Mumbai training many many sessions of Direct Recruit AAOs & ever so many sessions,from 1977-1982 ,still so many remember & revere us FMs,when Youngsters like us made a mark of distinction in many spheres of teaching, training & counseling with myriad activities in a 10 acre complex,Borivili.That so many stars in the firmament sparkled as Chairman, MDs,EDs,ZMs,SDMs,other cadres too & at this distant date,as Sr Citizens & Super Sr Citizens,we even grilled them to bring out the best & understand & appreciate their crucial role & now feel eternally grateful to the Almighty.
ii)So too,later as Principal ZTC,Jeevan Vidya,Prithvipakkam,Ambattur,1985-1989,yet another fresh breeze of learning, unlearning, relearning, massive job & assignment of shifting from Hotel Kanchi to this Splendid 5 acre complex with all attendant facilities, food for the belly, food for Thought,a marvel of a mini-organisational venture with pinpoint accuracy,private company top trainers,HRD experts who visited , admired & showered spontaneous praise on wonderful infra structure, Communication Crusade thro Qly HM,MAKARANTHAM,64 pages & highly modern intellectual inputs by learned Faculty with great care,concern & commitment.The crowning glory was ending my 35 year career in LIC at the Apex level of MDC in the rank of ED,with 14 transfers 2000,3000,4000 kms away NSEWest.
iii)As the Training Pyramid,so too our Learning Pyramid vital,with gratitude & reverence,I bow with all humility & modesty to my Gurus & Teachers,Headmasters,Principals of Montessori School,Chintadripet High School, Loyola College & Madras University,& Principal & Professors were more excited than my father & mother & brothers & sisters,we were Joint family of 24 members, wa,when the news came,after 34 years,both Gold medal for Economics & Silver Medal for Politics I annexed,after my Professor from St Josephs Trichy !
iv)Quality,Excellence & Meritocracy ,must be the WATCHWORDS, not mere CATCHWORDS if an individual, family,institution & the country have to advance & prosper & set examples to others.
3)We bow before our Teachers & Trainers & remember them all with eternal gratitude & goodwill on this sacred day.
