Dear Ram, I wish my Aai (mother) could see me now. It is my life's biggest regret that Aai never got to see me fulfill her dream of standing on my own two feet. I got my permit and became an autorickshaw driver a few days after she passed away. My name is Sunita Kanse. I am one of a handful of women working as an autorickshaw driver in Mumbai. Driving is a huge source of income for many people. Sadly, women are excluded, as it is seen as a job for men only. Sign this petition so that Uber and Ola Cabs helps us change this perception. I attended night school for two years to complete Class 8 and became eligible for an auto permit. She would have been so proud of me, Ram. Most people are surprised to see a woman behind the wheel when they sit in my autorickshaw. One of them was Anushree Vaidya, a college girl from Mumbai. We talked about how India needs more commercial drivers who are women - so that women like me can be empowered financially, and women like Anushree can feel safer.  Anushree and I want cabs and autos by women to become the new normal. Sign her petition asking Uber and Ola Cabs to drive this change, and to connect women like us - drivers and riders - through their App. We need 20,000 signatures more before we go pitch our proposal to Uber and Ola Cabs. Will you add your name to this petition, Ram? Let's book a cab that drives change.
