ESI Covid_19 Relief

Referring to the Gazette Notification  notifying Covid-19 relief under the ESI Scheme,it is high time that the LIC brought out a similar scheme for those covered by Group Insurance Scheme of the Corporation.

As regards LIC pensioners,considering the unusual extra mortality caused to the group of pensioners curtailing the duration of pension receipt to those who became victims to Covid-19 fatality.The various pensioners should gather data on deaths that occurred among their membership and take up with LIC Management for payment of appropriate relief at a quantum fixed on the basis of probable number years for which the pensioner would have received pension had he/she not died due to Covid-19.The amount of relief should be paid to nominee/family pensioners/legal heirs.
