While I agree with you the need for fulfilling the purpose of avowed policies, courts cannot take notice of non-implementation of government policies in individual cases. If it has to be doe, then attention will get diverted on the government's policies rather than remedy sought under our petitions. It is always better to focus on what is directly relevant to our case to obtain justice in the matter of protection of our fundamental rights violated in the Pension Rules as they exist today.
In our country justice system does not have a time bound resolution and priorities are decided by the courts.High profile cases and political issues get precedence over ordinary civil cases like ours. Our SLPs are urgent for us-and really should be for the court also-but the court has its own system of hearing and adjournments.Covid has become a new villain in the scene hampering our efforts.
In the circumstances,we really don't seem to have many options but to wait for Supreme Court resume hearing on our SLPs.
From the obituaries that we receive from the families of the retired and serving officers of LIC,the foremost priority now seems to be survival against the onslaught of Covid till it goes away.
Only God should help us.
