Respected Kishore saheb,
Under our current Medi-claim Policy, physiotherapy charges to the extent of Rs 40,000/- are reimbursable provided it is spent during the period of 30 days of pre-hospitalisation and 60 days of post-hospitalisation and otherwise these are not payable.
My wife has been discharged from the hospital on 02-07-2021 and these charges are payable only upto 02-09-2021. My wife is bed-ridden and these charges are payable if physiotherapist gives her the exercises at home on the basis of certificate issued by the doctor.
Because of Corona pandemic, physiotherapist are a little reluctant to come to home and more than that, I am scared to call any such outsider at home.
In my opinion, you may please take up the issue of allowing reimbursement of these charges beyond the period of 60 days, in the cases of hospitalisation, but anytime within the policy period with New India Assurance Co. through Director (Per)as it will be a great relief in the present circumstances.
