CREDIT OF PENSION ON 1st of the Month

Dear Sri Sahni ji,

I have also noted the difference in wording of SMS.

Yesterday, I spoke to Manager(F&A) of Belagavi Dn. He informed me that such a provision for Scheduling the Payment is there for Salary and there is NO SUCH provision for Pension. Then I asked him how, many other Divisions are paying Pension on 1st itself be it Sunday or Holiday that too at as early as 8.00 am on 1st August, which is Sunday.

He had no answer. I asked him to talk to his counter part in Bengaluru DO 1 or DO 2 where the Pension is credited on 1st Aug.

He agreed to talk to M(F&A) of Bengaluru.

I will wait for a week & again follow up with him. I got my Pension credited on 2nd Aug at 9.40 pm.

Next week we will take up the matter with SDM. My problem is I am not in DO HQ.

"Today the third Aug.2021, in our Gwalior Divn, we have received the msg of pension as under :-

"Pension amount of Rs xxxx under Pension-id xxxxxx30 has been processed and will be credited to your bank Account on due date. -OS LIC" 

Previously the SMS read as under :-

"Pension amount of Rs xxxx under Pension-id xxxxxx30 has been  credited to your bank Account" 

The recent SMS indicates that pension can be processed before the due date so as to credit the amount on the due date means first of the month. 

I feel there is a provision in the NEFT/RTGS/NACH to schedule the date and time of credit to the transferee bank account. 

Either the DOs are ignorant or not willing to do so. 

The Central Office, Mumbai was closed on 31st July, 2021 & August, 2021. 

Then how the Pension amount was credited to the account of Mumbai retiree

@7.00AM on 02.08.2021 before the opening of office on 02.08.2021.

You may take up the issue at appropriate level. 

 

I received a phone call from Shri Saurav Ganguly, Developer of the App, a few minutes back while I was writing this mail . He informed that there is no provision to send SMS by LIC about receipt of EC. 

I told him that Pune DO has sent SMS.
