Dear Sir,
Medical Insurance Policies applicable to Retirees of Union Bank of India issued by National Insurance Company
This has reference to your precise telephonic talk with me to-day noon. As required by you, I forward herewith scanned copies of the (i) Main (Attachment No. 220) & (ii) Super Top Up Policies (Attachment No. 221) applicable to us. Identical Policies are issued by that Insurance Company for Retirees of other Banks, where in only the Policy Numbers are different.
In terms of Clause No.2.12 & 3.3(7) of the Insurance Policy, Dental Treatments are covered in the Policy. Ofcourse, there are several other pros and cons in availing medical insurance cover for Dental Treatments. Please refer Circular dated issued by our Association. It is also attached to this e-mail (Attachment No.3). In view of what is specified therein it will be better if dental treatments are taken in a Hospital and not in any private Clinic.
Ofcourse, as you precisely apprised me, it will be better if the Insurance Company will cover dental treatments in the Insurance Policy applicable to LIC employees.
Copies of this e-mail and its attachments are forwarded to the Office Bearers & CC members of our Association just for their re-perusal and information.
