AIIPA - Genl Ins - 22 Sep 2022
*• AIIPA meeting with National HO on 21.9.2022 •*
A delegation of AIIPA comprising Coms M.Kunhikrishnan (Genl Secy), J.Gurumurthy (VP), P.Bagchi (Jt Secy), P.V.Subbarao (Jt Secy) and Tarun Chatterjee (Genl Secy., West Bengal) met Shri Debashis Das, General Manager (P) and other senior officials at NIC HO, Kolkata, on 21.9.2022 and had detailed discussions on certain current issues. The GM called in the officials of HO Personnel and Pension Departments to the meeting and the meeting went on for about two hours.
[The meeting was originally fixed with Ms Suchita Gupta, CMD of NIC & Chairperson of GIPSA. But she could not reach Kolkata due to her sudden preoccupations. She phoned up to convey regrets for missing the fixed appointment and requested us to discuss the issues with GM. She assured to pursue the issues as per agenda submitted.]
The following are some of the issues discussed :
1. Agreed improvements in Family Pension: To take up with Ministry for expeditious approval of Notification.
2. OMOP for erstwhile TAC employees: GIPSA recommendation is pending with DFS for nearly three years - to pursue for early clearance.
3. Monthly Medical Allowance to pre-1986 retirees / spouse of deceased pre-1986 retirees: AIIPA's representation accepted by GIPSA / Cos., but administrative instructions still awaited.
4. HITPA - launching of Mobile App long delayed: To advice HITPA to expedite action. The need and the importance of such facility have been explained.
5. LIC Central Office - Delay in launching of Web Portal for PSGIC pensioners: GIPSA requested to put pressure on LIC for early action. Details explained.
6. OMOP for SVRP & SVRS retirees with service of 10 to 20 years:
Our appreciation to GIPSA / Cos for accepting the representation of AIIPA to settle the issue of Notional service credit to SVRP 2003 retirees and Pension benefit to SVRP 2003 & SVRS 2004 optees with less than 20 years of service (but more than 10 yrs service).
_When the demand for extension of Pension benefit to the original Pension optees of SVRP & SVRS batches with less than 20 years of service is accepted, same logic should hold good for OMOP also. We requested GIPSA / Cos to take up with DFS for allowing OMOP to SVRP & SVRS retirees who are not original Pension optees but completed more than ten years service._ Similarly other representations concerning SVRS.
We conveyed our appreciation on the progress made in the long pending wage revision issue and still wanted some more efforts by GIPSA / Cos to secure further improvements as placed by JFTU.
The meeting was cordial and purposeful.
M.Kunhikrishnan
General Secretary
