Hydro-locking

Hi, If your car is submerged in water due to heavy rains, *do not start the car* since you run the risk of hydro-locking which is the biggest threat to your car's health in such conditions. In hydro locking, water enters the engine through the air intake resulting in severe damage to the pistons and cylinders.  And, insurance company will not pay the claim, which otherwise is payable if you do not start the car!
