  2)WHEN EVEN CO CIRCULARS OF THESE 2DEPTS pertaining to PENSIONERS were abruptly stopped by CO who were posting SUCH RELEVANT CIRCULARS TO THE 6 ALL INDIA PENSIONERS FEDN & 

    3) When our pleas & entreaties to resume are rejected by long silence & even when I reiterated that FULL.DATA IS SACRED & SACROSANCT  to cultivate NEW OPENINGS FOR SUSTAINED REFORM FORWARD, which REALLY HAS BEEN THE SECRET OF SUCCESS OF ALL OTHER DEPTS, CO TOP MGT indirectly silencing Pensioners & not magnanimous sending 

CIRCULARS DIRECT TO US smacks of withdrawal symptoms deeply ingrained in them

4)So as an ANTIDOTE  , RIEA CHENNAI has proposed this time,not to waiver, but pass RESOLUTION ON.CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE ,which can be circulated to other Zonal Councils,approved & to send to STOP MGT LIC for regular implementation.& Qly Meetings at CO to insist indirectly but forcefully on.deadlines, responsibility when ALL OTHER CADRES INCLUDING AGENTS HAVE CC

DEMONSTRATION AT KARNAL BY AIIPA ON 04.08.2022

A very strong and powerful Demonstration was held by AIIPA Karnal Divisional Unit in which sizeable number of Pensioners not only from Karnal but outstation Pensioners also reached Karnal Divisional Office during recess hours to lodge their strong protest against overdelay of implementation of Board's Decision of Uniform 30% family pension, Cash medical benefit for Pension, Universal Pension Scheme for all, One more option to Pensioners to join medical scheme, updation of Pension, Railway Concession in fare to all Senior Citizens etc. All Class 1, 2, 3, employees irrespective of Unions  participated in the Demonstration in big numbers expressing full solidarity with the Pensioners cause. The meeting was conducted by Com.Satish Kapoor, Divisional Secretary, AIIPA, Karnal Divisional Unit and presided by Com.Deep Mehta, President, Pensioners Association. Com.Satish Kapoor explained the rationale of Demonstration and genuineness of the Demands raised by AIIPA. His message was well received by the gathering. Thereafter Com. Neeraj Arora, Vice President, NZIEA Karnal Divisional Committee spoke expressing full solidarity with the AIIPA cause. He gave a synopsis of today's prevailing economic and political situation which he explained is inimical for Working Class to survive in Public Sector. Thereafter Com.Sunil Chinda, Office Bearer Pensioner Association spoke who underlined the importance of Joint Struggles in these challenging political and economic situations. Thereafter Com.Virender Malhotra spoke, President, NZIEA, Karnal Divisional Committee who said that present situation demands powerful public campaigns to safeguard Public Sector Insurance Industry which at present is under serious attack of Privatisation and he said popular people's struggles can only encounter the present difficult situations. He said past struggles of AIIEA give us enough confidence and hope that we will be able to face the present challenges with popular people's struggles. Last but not least Com.Rakesh Kaul, President, Class-1 Officers Federation, Karnal Division also underlined the importance of Joint struggles in the days to come to safeguard our existing rights and benefits and expressed complete solidarity with the Pensioners cause whom he said we all are supposed to join after our respective superannuation from LIC. In the end at the culmination of Demonstration Com.Satish Kapoor thanked the gathering for their wholehearted participation inspite of hot and humid weather and with his team of AIIPA left for SDM's chamber to submit memorandum to the Management on the  pending demands and dispersed the gathering.

This year name mismatch is handled better. 

Aadhar xml process was difficult. Digilocker flow will only ask aadhar number and no other information. This eased out the processes. 

Yesterday onwards we are getting good number of certificates generated."

No Standard deduction for family pension

Retiree-pensioners get the  benefit of standard deduction of Rs 50000 as pension for retirees is treated as income for salaries.But in the case of family pensioners , the pension is treated by income tax rules as 'income from other sources' and hence they are not eligible for standard deduction for income tax purposes.

But as per our pension rules, the liability for family pension is created by LIC on death of a retiree or an pension optee while in service.The present value of  the liability created for the purpose becomes part of the additional contribution made by LIC to the Pension Trust and this additional contribution is debited to Salary and other benefits to employees.But at the pension pay-out stage it is an immediate annuity payment to the family pensioner from the LIC P & GS department.The purchase price paid by the Pension Trust to the P & GS dept is the consideration for the annuity paid to the family pensioner.

To me it  appears a technical anomaly in accounting principles followed.This has also implications on the valuation of cost of pension liabilities.If we go by the income tax rules,the cost of family pension should not go to the debit of Salary etc expenses account,but a separate account  may need to  be  maintained for retirees and family  pensioners both in the matter of contributions as well as the funded liability.But the ambiguity  arises because  the  10% Corporation's contribution may  also cover the invisible notional contribution towards family pension when the contingency arises,while the liability for family pension is actually provided for through additional contributions.

The  Chartered Accountants  among  our pensioner friends may throw some light on this.

PS : Income Tax Department allows deduction of Rs 15000 or 1/3 rd of Family Pension whichever is lower.

"Family Pensions to Dependent Nominees Family pension payments are taxed under the head "Income From Other Sources" in their Income Tax filings. Family pension exemptions on uncommuted pensions are set to a maximum of ₹15,000 or a third of the pension received - whichever is lower."

I followed the following steps :

1. I Uninstaller the existing App on my mobile.

2. I reinstalled the App by going to Play Store.

3. Registered again by giving my mobile number.

4. Set mPIN.

5. Keyed in my Pension ID, DOB from the Calender,

Selected Staff Pension.

It flashed a message :

*"Life Certificate for this ID is already approved. Please check...:"*

I an sending the screen shots (2).

Please guide.

I again tried giving my Pension ID prefixing 0 ie.

Then the App took me to give Aadhar number.

I gave Aadhar number. I asked me to create share code.

Then App captured my photo.

Then it asked me to submit.

It flashed "Server Error !"

Before I could take the screen shot it, the flash disappeared.

*So the Jeevan Saakshya App is NOT working."*

I am sending screen shot without the error message for your reference.

I have received messages from 40 Pensioners within 10 minutes saying App is NOT working.

Please guide
