Respected Readers,
After almost a week-long Celebration of the Greatest Festival Durga Puja, we are waiting for the Celebration of another big Festival, "DIWALI, Festival of Lights". We extend our heartiest greetings on the occasion of "Deepawali "or "Diwali'', which will be celebrated this year across the Country on 12th November-2023 with great grandeur and enthusiasm.
As described in the Hindu epic Ramayana, this festival signifies the spiritual victory of Light over darkness, good over evil and Celebration of Return of Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshman to Ayodhya Kingdom, after a period of 14 years in exile after defeating the Demon King Ravana. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and prosperity, emerged during the cosmic ocean churning (Samudra Manthan) on this auspicious day. As a result, Goddess Lakshmi takes center stage in Diwali Celebration. In Eastern India, the Hindu Goddess Maa Kali, is worshipped on this day with rituals.
The 'Eastern News of NOVEMBER-2023 issue' is published in this auspicious month, and is sent in attachment of this e-mail. We pray to the almighty GODDESS LAKSHMI AND MAA KALI, wishing good health, all Prosperities and Wealth for all our readers, members and their family as well.
We are looking forward to your valuable suggestions on this issue to enrich us for making improvements in our future issues.
Regards.
