Dear friends

Kindly find attached circulars of the Bank on revision of family pension 

and other aspects of the family pension for which AIRBREA had appealed 

our successive Governors, FMs, bureaucrats of MoF and the Bank's 

Administration. This was being done along with issue of revision of pension.

We also sincerely thank the forum of incumbents organisations who stood 

behind us at various stages. 

We may also quote here the Bank's DO dt.17^th July 1990 addressed to MoF 

wherein the then DG. Shri A. Ghosh made it clear that RBI Pension Regulations 

closely follow in principle as well as in substance Central Govt pension Regulations 

except to the extent dissimilarities exist in service conditions of RBI employees  

This being the background, our AIRBREA has always brought to the notice of the Bank

various developments in GOI on account of recommendations of the successive 

Central Pay Commissions. The CPC recommendations are mainly based on the 

Constitutional Provisions and Supreme Court judgments in the matter of pension. 

We are therefore, fully aware that  AIRBREA need not be complacent at this stage

but to struggle for true justice to our RBI community.

Here in the matter of revision of Family Pension now revision is there doing away 

severe injustice to them. We are happy that there would be smile on the faces of

Family Pensioners. 

We are thankful to the Governor for doing away severe injustice to our family pensioners.

We assure you further that no stone would be left unturned in pension matters of 

RBI community.
