Following difficulty experienced by some in sending the cost of the Handbook by bank transfer ,I checked up with my bank today.
They seem to have frozen the account for the simple (silly) reason that KYC data had not been updated in respect of my wife who is the joint holder!
And, they have done it without prior intimation to
me.
It is funny that this is happening with with a private sector bank.
Anyway now that I have complied with their requirements remittances can be made by transfer on or after 15/7/2024.
I am not in a hurry to collect the cost as I had brought out the Handbook only in a spirit of service to the pensioners'
community.
I would also suggest that as an alternative a crossed a/c payee cheque may also be posted to my address furnished in the cover while sending the book in Advance.
With my best regards to friends from far and wide who had sent indents to me
for the book.
