Dharna before Divisional Offices of LIC on 10th January, 2025.

28.12.2024.

Circular No. 15/2024.

To all affiliated Units.

Dear comrades,

The Central Committee meeting of AIIPA met at Kolkata on 28th & 29th November, 2024 decided, among other things, to conduct a Dharna for two hours before all Divisional Offices of LIC of India demanding of the management to resolve pending issues concerning LIC pensioners.

We have been raising certain genuine demands before the management for favourable consideration. In fact, we submitted our representation listing out all pending issues as far back as on 10th November, 2022. Our delegation met the Managing Director on the same day and discussed the matters threadbare. We were given the impression that the issues would be considered with all seriousness for finding solution. We had another round of discussion with the Executive Director (Personnel) on 25th May, 2024 reminding him of the pending issues and also raising certain matters cropped up in between. Despite our constant follow up the issues remain pending even now.

In the circumstances, the Central Committee felt that we have to mobilise LIC pensioners in action to seek resolution of pending matters. Two hour Dharna was planned to mount pressure on the management.

We request all the Units in Life Sector to hold a Dharna for two hours preceding lunch recess on Friday, the 10th January, 2025, mobilising maximum number of LIC pensioners. We request all units to make preparations in right earnest.

A memorandum addressed to the CEO & Managing Director, LIC of India must be sent on the day. The programme has to be widely publicised by displaying Boards, Posters etc. Digital posters by WhatsApp may also be circulated.

We once again request all the units to make the programme successful.

With greetings,

Comradely yours,

General Secretary.
