Dear Friends,

A joint meeting of representatives of LIC pensioners & Retirees, Viz., AIIPA, AIRIEF & FEDERATION OF RETIRED LIC CLASS I OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATIONS was held at Bengaluru on 19.07.2025 to discuss the various problems of LIC pensioners & retirees which they are confronted with and to explore the possibilities of joint actions to resolve them. After hearing the views of all the three organisations, it was agreed upon that the three organisations will make united efforts to take up the issues of pensioners with authorities concerned for early resolution, be it with LIC management, the Finance Ministry and also utilising legal avenues. In order to execute the decision, a Joint Forum of all the three has been formed with the name “JOINT FORUM OF LIC PENSIONERS’ & RETIREES’ ASSOCIATIONS”, which shall have a core committee consisting of 2 permanent + 1 optional members (Total 3) from each organisation to take policy decisions and draw action plans.

In the meeting, AIIPA was represented by its General Secretary Sri M. Kunhikrishnan and two others, AIRIEF was represented by its President Sri G. Krishnaswamy, General Secretary Sri Ranjan Dey Sarkar and two others and Federation of Retired LIC Class 1 Officers’ Associations by its General Secretary Sri. S. K. Awasthi and two other representatives. It was also decided to have interactions as frequently as possible by means of physical or online meetings.
