I got the following information in reply to my RTI application to LIC:
Total number of retiree-pensioners as at 31/3/2025; 58290
Total number of family pensioners as at 31/3/2025; 25061
Total number of pensioners as at 31/3/2025; 83351
Total number of pension optees in service as at 31/3/2025; 61916
Number of employees who retired in FY 2024-25 : 5264
Number of employees who died in FY 2024-25 : 370
From the above we find that family pensioners constitute 30.1% of total pensioners and there are totally 83351+61916= 145267 beneficiaries of the LIC Employees' Pension Fund.
