Forwarded message of my friend' s experience yesterday.
"Today ASHA workers came for the revised caste census. I have mentioned my caste as "Brahmin". They noted it in a book along with my mobile number. As they were leaving, I casually asked to show the recorded data. To my surprise caste was written as "Lingayat". I thought of recording this conversation & upload on social media tagging BBMP. But they .pleaded saying it was not intentional. Fearing for their job loss I just corrected the recorded data.
This happened in KR Puram.
Please be vigilant & insist on showing the recorded caste details. Ensure that correct details are recorded."
