Once long back Nidesh Gupta refused the offer of 30 minutes offered by the bench at 4.30 PM which could had been extended little for an hour or so when they extend till midnight for rich and mighty but not for super seniors before their death. Thereafter much water had flowed over Ganges. Every one hoped that after many deaths of super seniors the present bench will conclude early after marathon arguments for 3+ hours for minuscule AIRIEF. There is not much to argue the case more than few minutes as thousands of written pages is with the bench. But so called friendly but rival and pride lawyers collaborated with LIC/GOI made the bench to recompilation of 4000 pages which no one imagined by any yardstick as it is absolutely not required. Even now they can study those pages at their homes and reserve judgment and deliver before the retirement of one judge without further arguments and adjournments. One can say it is not possible. Then one had to receive one more punishment from KARMA for all actions done during their service
The Supreme Court has ruled that Pension is a deferred wage and along with wage revision pension also should be revised. Also Court has ruled that pension drawn by a pensioner can not be lower than the pension drawn by a pensioner who has retired in a lower rank . (GOI says it is for their staff only. and not for PSBs and LIC. Further it says when loss making PSBs are granted upgradation the ripple effect will be followed only thereafter in LIC which gave lakhs and lakhs crores crores of windfall profit to GOI unlike RBI which fact had not been brought to the notice of two member bench by any senior counsels of retiree organisations so far.
