Sub: Pending pension related issues of LIC pensioners
This is further to our several letters written to DFS regarding the captioned matter.
The pending issues are reiterated here below in a nutshell.
We appeal to you to bestow your kind attention to resolve the same since they are pending approval for a long time.
- 1)Updation of pension with every wage revision- OROP
- 2)One more pension option to the left-over ex-servicemen and directly recruited superintending/Executive engineers (whose number is less than 100 in total). When Modiji has done a lot of good things to the Ex-Servicemen including grant of OROP, why a handful of ex-servicemen in LIC are denied the pension option, is not understandable.
- 3)Increased pension to 80+ seniors.
- 4)Double the family pension up to age 67 in case pensioner dies before age 67.
- 5)Computation of pension at 50% of last pay drawn or 50% of last 10 months' average pay, whichever is favourable to the retiree.
- 6)Full pension for service of 20 years or more.
- 7)One more pension option to those PF optees, who have resigned and had put in more than 20 years of service. (Resigned due to domestic/health issues, mostly ladies)- Recently given to Bank retirees by IBA through bilateral agreement with UFBU.
- 8)100% DR neutralization for pre 8/1997 retirees- Recently given to Bank retirees by IBA through bilateral agreement with UFBU for those retirees retired prior to 11/2002.
We learn that item numbers 2,3,4 & 5 have been recommended to you by LICyou're your kind approval.

It is a shame on the part of NOIW to continue as TU though it is a member of the largest Tu federation unable to convince DFS to grant upgradation through their mentor. It is like INTUC once largest slave to the dynasty regime had not done any useful service to the working class. We know leftist TUs worked for a supposed revolution to overthrow the dynasty and capture regime at centre by a frustrated working class remaining stagnant till 1991 and became zero due to economic reforms. In-Service in financial sector unlike RBI staff had become more and more selfish by cheating their dead wood seniors step by step by getting more and more wages/pension. They are not prepared to lift their little finger to do agitations once done by present retirees/past In-Service long long before. They had been completely conditioned by individual greed of Capitalist ideology, while the opposite ideology was buried due to enormous violence by its dictators not advocated by its founder KARL MARX
Only doing paper work which is totally ineffective. NOIP it seems, trying to show that they are doing something , which in effect does not yield results.
