Those who used to tell LIC employees and bankers, "You get your salaries because of us," are now standing helplessly at the airport, bewildered. The wealthy and "respectable" educated people who daily proclaim that all government institutions should be shut down and everything handed over to private companies don't realize that government institutions provide real service. Many of these same respectable people have been stranded at the airport for the past four days. Some of their flights have been delayed, some canceled, and some are spending the night in the terminal. But the funny thing is, I've never heard anyone say, "You get your salaries because of our money." (Although they would say this without hesitation at a government bank or LIC.) 🤔 Why? Because what you see before you isn't a government employee, but a super-premium private brand uniform. And the uniform changes the behavior. Listen to some facts: 1️⃣ Airports and Airlines - 90% are private. Most major airports are run by private companies on a PPP model. Airlines are entirely private - and delays, mismanagement, and overbooking are part of their "super service." 2️⃣ Banking in India - During crises, private banks fled, but the government and LIC rescued them. Yes Bank collapsed - SBI and LIC rescued it. ICICI was facing a crisis - the government and LIC provided stability. Private banks avoid opening branches in rural areas. LIC alone provides 70% of the country's policy market share, and it also provides insurance coverage in rural areas. Public sector banks alone reach 60% of the country's population. 3️⃣ During COVID - air travel stopped, private hospitals were charging double the fees, but government hospitals, Life Insurance Corporation of India, government banks, and government buses were all providing service without discrimination. ⚡ Still feel guilty? Standing in line is a hassle - the government's fault. Delays in loan processing - the government's fault. Crowds at ATMs - the government's fault. But if an airline delays you for hours, and you're stranded at the airport for two days, then "Oh, that's international standard... it happens." The real question is: if it's government-run, it's abuse; if it's private, then "Sir, it's fine"... This double standard is the biggest issue. So, stop hating government departments and government employees. Also, LIC management is currently operating with minimal manpower; what will happen if a situation like the Indigo incident arises? Imagine!!!

PRIVATE AIR LINES

Highly remunerated pilots' request for rest as per GOI's order only after many accidents leading to many hundreds of deaths was ignored by a private airline. It is common in capitalism which is based on greed for the last 250 years which began with children, men and women working 16 hours a day with starvation wages ie, worst than feudalism it replaced due to advance of technology and science. It reminds one that workers of private insurers had not seen the sun-set due to more than 8 hours just 70 years back when more than a century back world working class sacrificed their lives for 48 hours per week. That is the reason why 90% unit employees and newly recruited workers made united Aiiea made extraordinary strong. TU ran amok due to a now failed political ideology starting agitation which no other TU in India thought like this with simple upgrade of Addressograph and Tabulating machine by pre computer age Mainframe machine even without Internet. They even ignored written assurance of "NO Retrenchment" stating it is false. Had they agreed productivity might have been more and also all Assts might have retired as Officers along with more wages as TN PAI envisaged which was thrown into waste bin by the collaboration of officers and TU. So starvation wages continued for 41 years and TU rights snatched 44 years back. Aiiea thought by not getting TU rights, pension like "oriental", promotion and decent wage every employee will become a cadre for a future revolution and their political leaders will be ruling India. What happened? No TU in India was prepared to follow its line and their political leaders became more corrupt and even their hold in WB and Tripura had gone after three decades and will lose Kerala shortly. Their 85% strong IN- Service became selfish and cheated their seniors who sacrificed for them by not accepting the fact of "Pension is undisbursed wage in retirement" during 6 wage settlements. They didn't agitate for seniors like RBI as they don't want some what a hypothetical reduction in wage. All retirees before 1.8.97 suffered with stagnant wages and no pension/pittance died except a handful who will leave the earth very shortly. The present retirees who were IN-Service from 1.8.97 who also didn't help an Iota like RBI staff and in turn like Hindu hierarchy of caste which every one say it to is be abolished but working to strengthen it. Judiciary also will not be helpful even after decades as progressive ideas are ignored. None is grateful to PVN RAO who gifted pension to working class and economic reforms to sustain 3% real wage increase PA to all workers formal and informal in India.
