Our Pension cases before the Supreme Court. - An Update

Dear Sri Sahni,

1. The Advance Weekly Cause list clearly states that our cases shall be Listed on 14 Jan 2015, as prayed by us and as ordered by the Bench on Dec 17, 2014. What remains to be seen is the actual serial number in the final daily list of 14th, which will be known only by 13th evening. So the agonizing wait continues.

A not very welcome news is that the Bench sits only up to 1.00 PM on 14th, as there is another Special Bench from 2.00 PM presided by Justice Dipak Misra.

2. I had a long sitting with Mr Jay Savla and his Associate this afternoon as planned earlier, to prepare for the hearing on behalf of  Panchkula/Chandigarh Petitioners. Similar meeting are planned for Sunday and Monday also. The elaborate exercise is intended to get a total grip on full facts, all points of law and to evolve the main thrust of the arguments to clinch a favorable verdict.

3. I hope some consensus would emerge from all stakeholders for a common approach, before it is too late.
