I am going to RAIPUR in few hours, for AIRIEF OBs Meet, yet I was determined to release on dot--rbkishore
1)Dear Sir:Please find herewith the text of Memorandum submitted
by All India Bank Retirees Federation to PM on Retirees Demands.
It would be better if a suitable Memorandum is submitted by
pensioners of
Insurance Industry too.
Together we can win the war against Injustice being done to the
Pensioners
and Retirees of the Insurance Industry.

2) Friends,Being
a retiree of Pre-1997 period (DOR-July 1994), from GIPSA companies, with
similar predicament, I am aware about the herculean struggle that my LIC colleagues
have been going through all along for decades. I wish you all the very best and
hope that apex court judgment will surely satisfy your expectations and
aspirations. I have been regularly following the developments through my esteemed
friend Shri RB Kishore's e-mails and the latest write-up you have appended from him is one of the best in
the series of earlier ones from him which vividly justify rightful benefits to
pensioners. Hoping that
wiser counsel prevail and justice and victory will surely be with you.
Best wishes and
regards,
sincerely,------------------------Harish
Ganatra
3)Dear Sir, I went
thro' your message. Yes, doubting
Thomases will get refreshing thoughts on reading this.
"Each rain drop make some flowers glow; each struggle
lessens human woe". Fine summing up
and a tonic of optimism. Swami Vivekananda says "Don't ever
give up." Essence of life is living meaningfully and do our
mite to lessen the sorrows of others. Maha Peryava in
"Deivathin Kural" mentions "we do not know what we do really
helps the person intended, but sure enough it gives immense satisfaction
to the person who did it, leaves him/her happy. Is that not enough?" HE
asks. So it be.
With kind regards,Yours,-------------S.R.Nagarajan.
With kind regards,Yours,-------------S.R.Nagarajan.
4)How to keep up NYResolution & make NY one of
rejuvenation, rebirth & renewal
IT IS A BEAUTIFUL MESSAGE AND A TREATISE !
UNTIL I REACHED THE END, I WAS UNDER SUSPENSE WHETHER IT IS
YOURS !
THANKS FOR SHARING !

at Kozhikode Annual Gen. Body Meeting.
I am writing this to
inform you that medical claims of widows of Kozhikode Division (Numbering more

On enquiry,
it is understood that settlement is pending for want of some data entry
correction at C.O.
I am writing this because my friend"s widow
Smt. Padmini Nambiar, who has undergone angioplasty some 4 moths back is
in need of money urgently.
I shall thank you to follow

Subject: Fw: Mediclaim of widows SAD PICTURE
Dear Sri Pandey,(RM,IT)
1)I spoke to u on this matter
It is heartrending.
2)Why for the sake of Office Procedure or Data entry correction
yet to be made, mediclaim settlement is pending for 4/5 months is baffling
& ununderstandable
3)Please remember the FOUNDERS pensioners, talk
to LIC CO IT Dept or whomsoever, pass instructions to SDM, KOZHIKODE
to SETTLE such CLAIMS WITHOUT ANY FURTHER DELAY
plus
Let not such ERRORS crop
up again, plugging loophole, if any, is the CRUX of the issue
4)I shall be obliged to receive a reply from you at the earliest

iii)Dear Sir, Kindly refer your mail regarding the
non-settlement of the mediclaim cases pertaining to the Family pensioners
of the Kozhikode Division and the telephonic conversation our AO had with
you explaining the reasons and the steps taken to resolve the issue.
We would like to
inform that we have liaised with New India Regional Office and got
the the master correction for the cases referred by you effected and
we have personally spoken to the New India Official of the Kozhikode Division Sri Manohar to take personal care and raise invoice
for these cases immediately after the master is updated at DO level. We
are in touch with him and shall keep you informed the settlement
details.
We wish to inform that the claims of the family
pensioners require master correction because of the introduction of the Floater
Policy Concept this year.
We have already escalated this to CO
and our CO had also taken up with New India to rectify this. Please note
that we are taking personal and sincere efforts in getting the
pending claims settled at the earliest and shall take all efforts to get this
problem solved permanently.
Thanking and assuring you of our best services at
all times, ------AO - OS/P,SZO
iv)Dear
Sri Ravindran Nair, 1)Indeed, sometimes
beyond our comprehension & new rules implications on all fronts, not taken
into account ,even by CO, these issues creep in.
2)Anyway,
I am deeply satisfied that ZO/OS(P), a committed lady AO has done good liaison
,even listening to my 12 calls, these 4 days or more.Basic issue for these
cases are resolved & after invoice, payment will be made
Hereafter, U & KZE Divn OS can pursue as the thorn is
removed.
It is for ZO to fup in general the Procedure to be followed
hereafter in such cases, even if New India IT is involved, without delaying the
claim
Greetings & warm
regards,----RBKISHORE,VP,AIRIEF

6)1)Please go through the Circular
from MOF/DFS titled “assurance of freedom of
noninterference in PSBs in commercial decisions, transfer & posting ”
2)This circular is very un-like
normal MOF Circulars or dictats,One can easily see the NAMO stamp of
authority to see what he says comes true in action.Circular has cemented
that good days ahead of NAMO in many spheres of activity. This looked
unbelievable few days before, let alone past decades & more too.We took it for granted we have to live under the umbrella
of MOF for anything & everything.Socalled autonomy which was sadly missing
,appears atlast to have come through.Very title of the MOF Circular is
appealing & echoes independent decision making power of CEOs of Banks, FIs,
Insurance companies
3)It is clear from the Circular that
the meeting which was convened by Hon PM has fructified
in the form of this noble idea ,trusting Chairman of PSBs, PSUs, FIs who are
the kingpin for UOI in its myriad activities. This spells in future the
desideratum of Independent Corporate Governance, a dire need ,which was sadly
absent .Hopes & dreams have turned true today because of this MOF
circular. It breathes fresh air, it spells out in unambiguous terms that good
governance by PSBs.FIs/Insce Cos in the interest of organization will be
welcome.
4)It
also contains freedom in administrative matters & so very useful to us
immediately alongwith commercial decisions. The thought of always waiting
to get blessing of MOF will now disappear. In a way, it is a timely thought
& a boon by Govt to all of us.Prayers are being answered.Let more punch be
given on DDay & let this percolate to the eminent SC Bench too .Coupled
with National Litigation Policy, these will be powerful & potent tools
& weapon in our armoury. It portents a happy reckoning & a smile on our
faces, coming as it does from the allpowerful MOF at the most propitious moment
Greetings-----RBKISHORE,VP,AIRIEF
7)Dear Sir,Thanks
for your mail. So, by God's Grace, the Festival, Pongal, will really be
Bountiful and Plenty, synchronizing as it does, the year's labour of Love
and Expectation has been rewarded. In our case it is not a year's
labour and expectation but of more than a decade.
LET US ALL PRAY THAT JUSTICE IS DONE.
HEARTY GREEINGS FOR A HAPPY PONGAL.

8)We cannot
expect the Central Government to divest itself of its
powers under Sec 48 of LIC Act-more so because LIC is 100%
owned by the Government of India as the sole shareholder, but
if the spirit of the circular is followed, we can expect the powers
to be used constructively and prudently.
But it has to be seen how the guidelines are put into practice.
Nevertheless it is worth a patient wait and watch.

Dear Shri Kishore,Thanks for your mail.As you
rightly said in your earlier mail, this communication from the Ministry of
Finance shall go a long way in redressing the grievances of all stakeholders;
this is subject to the ability of the incumbent Chairman to take bold but
objective decisions. I wish and pray this happens in case of LIC, which
should lead others by taking right decisions at the right time. Amen!

11) RBK,Excellent
Guidelins after a DEEP and Sustatined study of the problem.
Your "should" for the members of the Negotiating
Committee shows how you
view things on personal 'commitment'.
The points made on how
to move about and present the issues is really commendable. SWOT each year,
each month, each week is essential in management. You are into it. Hats off
to you

12)Kishore
ji,I have gone through the
attachments sent by you with regard to Reserve Bank
Retired Employees Association
writing an excellent convincing communication on Pension
Updation related issues and the
Ministry of Finance opposition to it despite Governor RBI pursuing it
strongly & the Govt. of India opposition to it is in violation of the
Constitution of India.
Similar communications
to the Minister of Finance should also be written by the
Financial Sector
Institutions under the Govt. of India be it Nationalized Banks, LIC or
GIC Pensioner bodies.
If we continue to raise our voice
loud enough, it will definitely have an impact on the
Ministry of Finance and in turn the
Government of India since we are also Central Govt.
Pensioners.

13)Dear Mr Sahni.Yes, we have returned
as there was no hearing of our civil appeals yesterday. There is no chance for
hearing today as well. But nothing to get disheartened about.
But I can assure all pensioner colleagues on my part that efforts are actively on to have the appeals listed and heard at the earliest.
It was my first visit to the Court Room No 6 of the Supreme Court on 14th inst. While I appreciate the restlessness and anxiety of our aged pensioners for the cases to be heard and disposed of early as revealed from phone calls and enquiries from their homes.I was able to get first hand experience of the ground realities faced by the litigants right from the time passes are obtained for entry to the time they come out of the Court with lot of discussions in between with counsel. It really requires a very hard work on the part of the case managers and their counsel to achieve success.I found every one moving in a hurry in the Supreme Court premises.Of course we LIC pensioners are in a greater hurry indeed understandably!
Let us hope all the three sets of petitioners and counsel are able to turn lucky through early hearing and disposal of the civil appeals.
Kind regards------------------C H Mahadevan
