Query by Mr V Gopalan:
The record of proceedings says "in line with the DA formula in
operation in LIC of India" and does not say "in line with the DA
formula in operation in LIC of India for serving employees".
Is it safe to assume that it means "same DR for pensioners as
available for employees"?
My reply:
We are very safe in assuming that as (i) DA was referred to in 1994 in the context of employees as pension scheme had not been notified, & (ii) Dearness Relief is always referred to in relation to pension.
