Now, we have come up with a Calculator to estimate Pay in Pay Band, Grade Pay, HRA and Transport Allowance of a Central Government Employee as on 1st January 2016, on the basis of his / her Pay in Pay Band as on 1st July 2014.

just a tool to assist you for estimating approximate 7th CPC pay and
allowances as per the methods adopted by 6th Pay Commission. 7th Pay
Commission may adopt different methods to revise the pay and allowances
of Central Government Employees or may introduce or remove any pay heads. In such cases, 7th CPC pay and allowances estimation done using this calculator may not be relevant.
Methods Adopted in the tool to arrive at Projected 7th CPC Pay Bands, Pay in Pay Band, Grade Pay, HRA and Transport Allowance
Projected 7th CPC Pay Bands, Pay in pay band and Grade Pay:
In respect of estimated 7th CPC Pay Scales and Grade Pay in each of these projected Pay in Pay Band, this calculator adopts
the same methods which were discussed in our earlier article released
in the month of April 2014 for 7th Pay Commission Pay and Allowances
Estimation (Updated on 31.10.2014 and 01.02.2015).

Projected 7th CPC Pay in Pay Band of an employee is calculated as follows:
1. Present pay in pay band as on 1st July 2014 is
obtained and the same is converted to 6th CPC pay in pay band as on
01.01.2016 by allowing one increment of 3% as on 1st July 2015.
7th CPC Pay in Pay Band = [(6th CPC Pay in Pay Band as on 01.01.2016+6th CPC Grade Pay)X 2.28]-6th CPC Grade Pay
Update : 01.02.2015
1. A multiplication factor of 2.20 is multiplied
with 6CPC pay in pay band and 6CPC Grade Pay as on 1st January 2016.
Since 6cpc Grade Pay is part of multiplication factor 2.20, it is
deducted to arrive at approximate 7th Pay Commission Pay in Pay band as
on 01.01.2016. This multiplication factor is arrived at as per the
methods adopted by 6th pay Commission to arrive the multiplication
factor of 1.86.
7th CPC Pay in Pay Band = [(6th CPC Pay in Pay Band as on 01.01.2016+6th CPC Grade Pay)X 2.20]-6th CPC Grade Pay.
2. As against the assumption of multiplication
factor of 2.28 on the basis of inflationary trend from Jan 2014 to Jun
2014, CPI (IW) is flat and falling from August 2014. We feel that this situation calls for an update in GConnect 7CPC Pay and Allowances Estimation Calculator with respect
to multiplication factor. Hence, we have updated our estimation to the
extent that mulitiplication factor is reduced to 2.20 on the assumption
that DA from January 2016 will be 120%. So, revised multiplication
factor will be 2.20.

As against determination of HRA as variable lump-sum
amounts according to pay scales by earlier pay commissions, 6th Pay
Commission had evolved the calculation of House Rent Allowance of Central Government Employees as a percentage of Pay in pay band and Grade Pay. This calculator also calculates HRA in these lines.
Projected 7th CPC Transport Allowance:
While 5th Pay Commission had allowed variable lump-sum amounts as Transport Allowance, 6th Pay Commission had recommended for payment of this allowance along with DA Component.

Update : 01.11.2014 and 01.02.2015
Based on readers suggestions, estimation of Transportation Allowance
has also been revised now. It could be seen from the table mentoned
above that on implementation of 6th Pay Commission transport allowance was fixed at 4 times of 5th CPC Transport Allowance. In addition to this benefit DA component was also added. Hence 7th CPC Transport Allowance is estimated be double the amount of transport allowance granted by 6th CPC and DA component of 128% 120 % on 6th CPC Transport Allowance as on 1st January 2016 merged with this new transport allowance

New 7th Pay Commission Transport Allowance = Two times of existing 6th CPC Transport Allowance + 128% 120% DA Component on 6th CPC Transport Allowance.
