Re: personal query

Dear Mr N A N,
As far as the 20% interim benefits ordered by Supreme Court are concerned, only the original petitioners will  be paid those benefits by LIC. If you are a member of the affiliated unit of the Federation of retired Class I Officers' Associations, you may also get the interim relief.

If the Civil Appeals in the Supreme Court are dismissed, then the final benefits can be expected to be paid to all the eligible pensioners. A significant fact to be noted is that the Jaipur Single Judge Bench in the operative part of its judgment dated 12/1/2010 clearly stated that both the petitions were allowed and LIC was directed to take steps to implement the LIC Board Resolution. When LIC implements the said Board Resolution, it cannot be done for the petitioners only. So all the eligible pensioners will have to be paid the benefits if ordered in the final judgment.
The decision of the AIRIEF to implead itself in the CAs will definitely help to ensure that all the eligible pensioners obtain the final benefits if ordered by SC.
Kind regards.
